I had a kind of jawsome dream last-night, so i figured that i can post it up here for you guys.

The place was called Indianapolis,  it was a training area for formula drivers. The place looked like it was all in a massive open pit mine. The tracks for the driving practice was on the shelves leading down into the mine.

I was there because I had wanted to purchase some stock in the "indy" company. Ikomi was my guide down in the indy practice area, and Mcl was actually driving around practicing. 

Oddly enough, I began to walk up the shelves and the tracks turned into a city. Ikomi owned and ran the city. As i began to explore it, a giant monster appeared and began to chase me around. Ikomi turned into KT Tunstall and began fighting with the monster, and after the monster was subdued i woke up from the dream.

These past couple weeks, were kissed with a bunch of work. Building and designing the website for my job at Best Deals. Still needs a bit of work, but overall design is just about over. My boss is happy and so on. There are many more features I hope to add, but those won't go in untill i have the database built.  Also keep in mind, that along side this i still have my normal work duitys.

It is all fun though

 

Now that work is near done, i am finding myself with extra time in the afternoon and eavenings after work. So i am useing this for Eve online (a space bound world simulator MMORPG), and just reccently (like 30 minutes ago) opened my world of warcraft account again. Namely for the hopes of playing the two games side by side on my laptop and desktop...

Eve pwns.

Right now, my corp (Unionized Ninja Federation) has 2 regular members. My roomate (Xetoc) and I (Hanani).... kinda a small corp, the other members are a friend (Todez) and other friend (Flatlyne) who's account has frozen untill he pays his subscription again. We are planning on a large scale terrorist attack in the game, although with so few members it may not be possable. We hope to gain some temp people in on this. One thing we are starting to work on, is Moon Mining and such controll of star systems. Yes we are a few months of even getting close to this, but we are working on it!

 If you play eve online, or are interested. Bugg me in game (Hanani) or on these forums. We can group up and go rat/pirate huntin some time. 

A personal toy of mine, is a spaceship that can rip through space at 1KM a second. Quite a joy to run circles around all the other ships around me. That is the ship in the image above... all you see is the burners... that is all that anyone ever gets to see of the ship >

World of warcraft... WoW.... O.o

 So loging in from a few months of inactivity... My character was getting her butt kicked by a Kolkar (Some man-horse beast thing) about 10 levels lower than me. I easly pwnd the fool, and went on to safety. My main character right now is "Uninstall" on the server "Wildhammer" I don't currently have a guild so if you do have a guild, and are looking for a hot level 36 Horde Mage.... then give me a message

Darkness realy does lag funny.

So i downloaded an began to play the demo for Dark Messiah of Might & Magic (Clicky here to get the demo.) 

Sofar what I have seen of this game, is that it is great... I had only been able to play about 10 minutes, but there were some great fun to be had. My only problem was the totaly unresponseveness of the controls due to lag. The game would lag, but in a diffrent way. Instead of holding up video, audio, and controls... Only controls would lag for me. I would start to walk, and would continue to walk far beyond where i let go of the forward button. Causing me to hump many walls and fall off a few areas... slight problem. I will forgive them though, as this is an unpolished version of a not yet finished game. There are bugs to be had.

I will have to try again when the game comes out

 

Here is to hopeing that i will have more free time for random video game playing!!

Webdesign is on my mind

This past week or so, i have been working somewhat dilligently on the creation of the re-design of Best Deals Magazine's website. This being my first huge step into professional webdesign. I was previously working on this with a partner, but she has left the team. Leaveing me to finish off her part of the site.

In the case of getting things done, I would have to say this is a good thing. Untill she was let off the team, i was waiting 3 weeks to get the basic style for the first page. While my boss, isn't in a rush to get this project off the ground... I am. That way i can just get it done and go on with my life.

So tonight I stayed at work extra late, and worked on the website for about 4 hours. I got everything working almost to where i want it. There are just a few things that i need to get fixed. Each of them supprisengly bugs/features in internet explorer.

Encounter

One lovely day at work, I was just sitting down from setting the playback of friday's last news cast show "Now." I turn over to see what the new message that was blinking on meebo was about. It was a message from a stranger "Buzz!" and "Hey! You there?" "Hello?"

"Please get me a gun, this woman is annoying."  was my first thought of reading this. So i replied "Who are you? State your purpose!"

We began to chat it up a little. Spent the rest of the night looking over meebo talking with this strangr. She was quite the stranger too. I have never met her in any of the normal methods online, such as a videogame or webforum. She found me through the yahoo member directory.

Over  the course of the night I caught a few tid bits of information that started to ring off alarms. The first and most open, is that she threw a knife at the head of her sister's ex boyfriend. The second is that her sister attemped to kill her ex-boyfriend. She was once a goth, and that she was from a very small town of only 3k in the middle of our desert state.

The next day of random chatter, she came to me with a request to meet me in person. I agreed... Now i do know that this is a very crazy and stupid act. I agreed to this under one condition though, that we meet in a open public place. We agreed to meet at a casino diner, close to her neighborhood.

The meeting

That sunday, i loaded up the car with a good friend and a few good knives for personal protection. We left out to Hobies casino the meeting place. The plan was that I go in, and my buddy will go on past me. We stayed in text communication the whole time.

When we arrived, she was waiting outside. My suspicions of her being a fat biker dude, looking for a quick rape was incorrect. She wasn't quite the hottie that i was hopeing for, she was actualy fairly plain looking. Not realy fat, yet not realy attractive. Her hair was colored black, that was bleached with a bit of blonde mixed in.

We went inside, and began to eat ice cream and slowly talk about random useless things. There wasn't much excitement to be had, except that i built a lovely bunker out of diffrent condment cups. Received a few comments from a few of the waiters and watresses about the bunkers and towers, and that is about it before leaveing out to our own ways.

The rest

We continued to chat it up in the IM for the next few days, and i can tell you now that it is began to die down. To me, i see her as merely a disposable minion. She is IMHO a bit of a psycho, and a bit too risky to get much involved with in any manner. Further conversations, she opened up to me about violent acts she took on other  people, such as friends and other ex-boyfriends. From useing brass knuckles on a person and so on. She lets drama contol her life and her actions. To me this isn't a person that i wish to become friends with in realy any way, as I am one who hates drama and will brush it away at every chance.  To me, she is nothing more than a disposable minion.

Today, on my walk with the dog. It was around dusk, the end of a warm but partly cloudy day. After running around, and getting my blood moving and calmed from the day's work i looked up.
What I saw beyond the Apartments, radio towers, and terraformed moutians was a beautyful sky. For this moment, I questioned why would anyone wish to leave this place.

Step away from your city for a half hour, and you will see how wonderful this world is. It is a great feeling.

Aye, before hitting the sac for the night. I want to ask of this community to help me out a bit with ideas for my gallery.
Right now, if you go to my gallery [ link ]
you will see that, all it is just a bare XML that was PHP included into an HTML file.

Currently at my disposal, are 12 full size pics. with corrisponding Thumbnail, midsize previews, large prevews and discription files.
All are seprate files, that are peiced together automaticly with PHP when they are in a certian folder on my website.

What I am looking for, is ideas for displaying the gallery. I am not too worried about backend. I am hopeing for something that will require the least ammount of special plugins. I aim for it to be compatable with Mozilla Firefox 1.5, Opera 8, and IE7. I may use flash, but i would rather use HTML, XML, XSLT, XHTML...

One question for the experianced web designer, Can I use XSLT in a HTML file? Or maybe XHTML?

What if Armstrong gave up on getting to the moon?

First thing is I am very happy to find out that, Charlie *image* an engneer at my work (KNPB ch5) just recived an emmy. He was on the orignal team that designed the first Video Tape Recorder (VTR).

Now that that is over, on to the other stuff. I need health insurance. I found that out, when I just so happen to need it. Not till now did i think even think to have it as any priorty. I need to visit a doctor about my eye. The skin directly under my right eye has a rashy ring, that at times will become ichy. I tried to look this up online, but to no avail i couldn't find a cause.
It dosen't seem to have transfred to other parts of my face or body, because it is just in that one area. Oh well, i will be ok i hope. Now if i can push myself to work on the new website.
